L'Unité Mixte de Recherche (UMR) 6566 CReAAH "Centre de Recherche en Archéologie,
Archéosciences, Histoire" créée en 1991 est une unité largement interdisciplinaire, à la
croisée des sciences humaines et sociales, des sciences de l'environnement et des sciences
physiques et chimiques
Unité structurante et fédératrice des recherches en archéologie (de la Préhistoire aux temps
modernes) et archéosciences pour le très Grand Ouest de la France (Ouest et Centre-
Ouest), le CReAAH connait une large ouverture à l'international.

The Mixed Research Unit (UMR) 6566 CReAAH « Research Center in Archaeology, Archaeosciences, History » created in 1991 is a largely interdisciplinary unit, at the crossroads of human and social sciences, environmental sciences and physical sciences and chemicals.
The scientific field of CReAAH is built around the study of the evolution of human societies over the very long term, from ancient prehistory to the Modern era.
The geographical area of intervention of the CReAAH is very wide. In France, the Atlantic coast is privileged, without exception. In terms of international cooperation, major research programs are developing in Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
